At Nature’s Select, we believe that a healthy landscape can improve the quality of life for you and your family. Our goal is to improve your lawn and landscape from the soil up, restoring soil health and encouraging growth sustainably by using biologically based nutrients. Aeration & seeding, disease control, and pest control all play a part in a complete program. The result is a healthy lawn and landscape with minimized environmental impact.
Biological Activity, Soil Structure & Soil Nutrients
The Select program cares for your lawn on three fronts, not just one. All lawn care companies care for your lawn through application of soil nutrients, but most stop there. The Select program also improves the biological activity in the soil (for sustainability and to improve nutrient availability) and the soil structure (for improved root growth and water retention). Together they create a healthier and more sustainable environment for grass growth. For more information on how to maintain your lawn, please see our lawn care tips.

Facts
Warm-season grasses are well adapted to the heat and humidity of our summers, while going dormant in winter. Warm-season grasses are on an “opposite” growth pattern than cool-season grasses, with different nutrient needs in summer and winter.
Care
As with the cool-season grasses, correct timing of nutrient applications keeps them looking good. Our warm-season grass programs are based on our proprietary Select Biological Grass program, with applications timed to optimize the growth and health of your warm-season lawn.
Additions
The Select program also includes targeted pre- and post-emergent weed controls for weed suppression throughout the season. All of these factors together make a sustainable lawn treatment program.
Cool-Season Grasses – Fescues, Kentucky Bluegrass
Cool-season grasses look best in spring and fall when temperatures are moderate. Tolerant of chilly winter temperatures, cool-season grasses are less active or even dormant in summer’s heat.
